Day 62: Cornerstone Update 8 of 9

Today begins the tear down of our campsite here at Cornerstone. It has been a week that I will never forget. Usually, when I am on vacation or retreat I do not like to tear down the day before but here you have to. I always tell people that go on a get-a-way “don’t leave before you go.” What I mean by this is, don’t mentally check out before you physically go and that is what Tracy and I truly believe. We will soak up every last minute of this day before we head home first thing in the morning. I am already beginning to dream of flush toilets, nice showers with curtains that don’t fly open so people see way more than they care…..I think Sunday when I get home is going to include BIG OL’ FATTY STEAKS on the grill. The best part of going home though? I get to see my munchkins again!

So, now we begin to tear down the campsite before it turns into a big dust bowl here tomorrow and reflect back on what God has allowed us to be a part of. To go from a family camp that we really loved at Spencer Lake to this Family Camp…aka CORNERSTONE where I got to share a message each night to MANY people all I can do is say “thank you God for expanding my territory!”. It was great to be ministered to at this camp as well and to have people confirm things for me in my life. I know that 2010 has been a year of fresh, new and exciting changes for me and I am pretty confident it will continue.

Should you ever get the chance to come down to Cornerstone I would highly suggest it. Amongst the many artists from folk to black metal, God is here and he connects with you in such a great way!
