Day 88: Another Marriage

Today was a great day as I got to once again officiate a wedding. I will admit this one I was nervous going into it because of the people that would be there. I guess you could say it was a “whose who” kind of event. Many great people from the community were there. The parents of the groom are catholic which made me just a little more intimidated. Here is a great couple whose son is getting married and I am doing the ceremony…it went great!

A great compliment was paid to me at the reception. One of the deacons from the large Catholic Church in town made it a point to find me and compliment me on the ceremony. There were many more great accolades from this family as well. I was truly humbled by his remarks…especially when he said, “we need more people like you in our churches.” I was truly blessed by this family.

This was a great day to be there for a great family. I am so happy I was able to help make it a special one.
